Your first base, step by step
Names change from war to war (the Iron War runs on oil, the Modern War on crystal), but the steps are the same.
- Deploy. Select your Mobile Works (Base Crawler in the Modern War) and press D on flat rock. It unfolds into your headquarters.
- Power. Build a Diesel Plant (Power Plant). Everything needs power, and towers fire slower without full power. Keep an eye on the power bar.
- Harvest. Build an Oil Refinery (Refinery). It comes with a harvester that drives to the nearest field, fills up and unloads on its own. Every load is money.
- Train. Build a Barracks for infantry, a Motor Pool (Light Factory) for buggies and harvesters, then a Tank Arsenal (Heavy Factory) for tanks. Open the Units tab in the build menu to train them.
- Defend. Towers and walls keep raiders off your harvesters. Put them where the enemy comes from, and park a few tanks near your refinery.
- Attack. Select your army, click an enemy to attack. Destroy every enemy building to win.

Tips
- Power before anything. A second power plant early saves you from a slow, stalled base later.
- Protect your harvesters. They are your income. Raiders love them.
- Pave the roads. Units drive faster on paving, and buildings placed on paving start with full health.
- Use the high ground. Infantry can climb the mountains. Vehicles cannot.
- Nights are dark. Night cuts everyone's sight. Floodlights and flares show the way, but lights also give you away: press L to drive dark.
- Ride the FEVER. Dealing damage, taking hits and unloading loot all fill your FEVER meter. When it is full, pick a card: an air strike, a buff, reinforcements. The enemy has its own meter, and you are told what it plays.
- Look through their eyes. Press V for a first-person view: binoculars for scouts, a scope for snipers.
What you need
- A computer with a mouse and keyboard. BATTLE FEVER runs in desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows, macOS and Linux. Nothing to install.
- On a laptop, plug in the charger and pick a lighter graphics preset in Settings if the game feels slow.
- It is not made for phones or tablets: a real-time strategy game needs a mouse and a bigger screen.
- Your progress is saved in your browser on this computer.
